To life, to the sea. More than five centuries of history link Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon to the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. The epic of the Terre-neuvas has left a deep imprint on the societies of these shores. Now that the great fishery has ended, the series shows how people remember and live today in these two territories. By drawing a thread between humans, looking for what brings them together or distances them from each side of the sea, it questions what the latter has given and taken from each of us, what it represents today, concretely and in our imaginations.

This photographic documentary is produced as part of a commission for the Photo Festival Baie de Saint-Brieuc. It will be the subject of an exhibition in 2023.

Complete series to come.
